Game Makers Studio
Design, build and playtest your own 2D game
Game development · ages 10–15 · 12 hours over 3 weeks · 3 classes a week, 1½ hours each · GH₵450.00
Young game makers learn how real games work: rules that are fair, controls that respond, characters that move on x and y, collisions with walls, coins and enemies, score, lives and timers, and levels that get harder at the right pace. Over three weeks — 3 live classes a week, 1½ hours each, one class per module — every class mixes design thinking with code puzzles and building in Scratch, ends with a playtest, and is followed by practice, a quiz and an assignment. It ends with an original 2D game of their own — title screen, instructions, a core loop, a way to win and lose, a restart and a tested level — handed in with a playtest note.
